Bio

I'm Mariana. I'm a theatre maker and I wear different hats depending on the project: sometimes as an actor, others as director, facilitator or translator.

I'm the co-founder and co-director of MarianaMalena Theatre Company. I hold an MA in Performance Practice as Research from Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and a BA in Acting from ASAB, Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas, in Bogotá, Colombia.

I'm interested in collaborative and international work, new writing and the relationship between comedy and movement. 

​

I have vast experience as a deviser, improviser and clown, and I experiment with music and text. I am also a facilitator, lecturer and consultant.
